Over the last five years, countless retailers, big and small, have been experiencing the cold hand of the ‘retail apocalypse.’ From companies like Sears and Macy’s to ones lesser known by the mass public, thousands of stores have closed due to a number of factors.


Although there is a lot of doom and gloom surrounding this continuous closure of retailers, if we take a closer look into the retail apocalypse, it isn’t absolutely hopeless. In fact, while there are many stores that are closing, there are also many that are opening from successful e-commerce shops branching off into brick-and-mortar.
